What About Bling Bling Jewelry?

There seem to be countless fads in this world, regardless of the era. I don't care if you went to high school in the 50s, 70s, or 90s. Chances are you dealt with some sort of fads or style norms. We all do. I can still recall all the fads back in the 90s. This was my high school time.

These days the fads seem to gear more toward bling bling jewelry. What is the deal with this anyway? Since when did men have to start loading on so much jewelry? I will be totally honest regarding this issue of bling bling jewelry; I don't care for it. I'm just not in with that crowd and don't intend to be.

The bling bling jewelry fad makes me think of musicians. Do you disagree? Musicians are famous for sporting loads of bling bling jewelry. Heck, I think they even get some of it for free, simply to advertise the stuff, not that they can't afford it. They're even putting bling on their cars (think of a Hummer with that much flash.)

I will be the first guy to admit that I think all this bling bling jewelry is for the softer sex. I just can't see the point of wearing this stuff if you're a man. Well, unless you're trying to convince the world that you have money. But then, certain aspects of fashion have always escaped my caveman mentality.

Why don't people focus their capital on more worthy things that actually increase in value, such as real estate or maybe even stock investments? A big screen TV? That has about as much value as the bling bling. Investments would set you up better for the future. Regardless, our youth will continue to enjoy and deck themselves out in bling bling jewelry. There's truly no way around it. At least until the next fad comes around, which will probably be monochrome clothing with zero flash.

The first person that comes to mind when I hear the words "bling bling jewelry" is Justin Timberlake. I have no idea why. Maybe it's because he's one of those lame imitators who dreams of being accepted. We all know it's not going to happen, at least by us old folks, but he sure can afford plenty of bling bling jewelry. Looks like someone is accepting him.

It seems odd that the word "bling" is now found in some dictionaries. Who started this phenomenon? Wait, I think it was Snoop Dog. He actually came up with a few different slang terms that are rather famous and widely used now days. Is this a good thing?

It's just baffling to me that this one made it to the dictionary. And now it's called Ice? I really am behind the times... Regardless, the craze with bling bling jewelry has been in for quite a while now and isn't going anywhere soon. Hop on the web and take a look at infinite bling bling jewelry for your collection. Just be careful what you wear. In this world where folks get mugged and robbed do you really want to draw all that attention to yourself?

There's a reason that the Rich Hollywood types keep their real jewelry in vaults.
